We have been getting a lot of questions about business hours and workshops, so we decided to send out an email regarding these concerns.Due to the “Safer at Home” order for all of April, and guidelines on public places and gatherings, we have also decided to suspend our Fairy Gardening and Container Gardening Workshops until further notice. This early spring we have had to make some tough decisions about classes and planting, but we believe it is in the best interest of our customers, staff, and community that we are proactive and do our part in containing the spread, especially to keep our elders and at-risk neighbors and family members safe.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, on our Facebook page, or to call us at 920-893-0843.
Thank you again for your understanding, and your continual support of small business. We hope to be in contact soon! Be safe and stay healthy! **
This upcoming 2020 spring we will be offering a large amount of workshops, including fairy gardening, succulent gardening, container gardening, and other interactive workshops. Because of our transition to more customer hands-on gardening, we feel the addition of more workshops will be a great way to help our customers learn how to make the great container garden combos they love and deserve.
(scroll to bottom and follow the links for workshop dates – they are labelled “Fairy/Miniature Garden Workshops” and “Container Gardening Workshop” – they will take you to the pages with dates and sign up)
Each workshop will last roughly 1.5-2 hours. For the first half hour the instructor will work with the class giving general advice, demonstrating specific techniques, and answering any questions you may have, as well as a quick tour around the greenhouse. During the rest of the class, customers can work on finishing their containers and our staff will still be available for any more specific questions you may have. Customers may reasonably expect to be able to finish two containers during each two hour workshop.
Container Gardening Workshop: $17.00 + cost of materials
The cost of the workshop covers soil, fertilizer, instruction, and care for up to two baskets or pots until it is ready to be brought home. Each additional container can be planted for the discounted price of $5. Materials includes plants and new containers (customers may bring their own or purchase new containers from our store). **For customers with only one pot, the class fee will only be $10.00** (Large Containers will have an additional soil charge)
Fairy Gardening Workshop: $10.00 + cost of materials. 10% discount on fairy accessories.
As stated above, customers may bring their own containers or purchase new ones from our store. We encourage you to be creative with your containers, especially for the fairy/miniature garden workshop. Old dresser drawers, old boots, wooden crates, and even cracked or broken pottery can be turned into charming miniature gardens.
Because we want our customers to have the best experience possible, each workshop will be restricted to 20 spots, with reservations being on a first-come-first-served basis. This will allow us to ensure that each person receives the assistance they need and to provide a more friendly and casual environment.
Additional workshops may be scheduled depending on demand, and we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop based on lack of registrants. If you have any questions about the possibility of other dates and/or times, please feel free to contact us.
All registrants will receive more detailed information in advance of each workshop upon confirmation of their registration.
